If you're looking for a weekend dose of fun and adventure in the forest and immerse in the local wildlife, then the Beerburrum and Beerwah State Forests is the place to go. 

Aside from trail bike riding, there are other recreational activities you can do with your family and friends, such as four-wheel-driving, horse riding, and mountain bike riding on their forest roads.

If you're planning to teach your young ones some of your bike tricks or the basics, you can do that at the Queensland Moto Park. They have Pee Wee and Junior MX tracks for the kiddos to enjoy. And of course, they have motocross tracks and enduro trails for the adults and pros.

Aside from the 40-hectare block of land, the Willowbank MX Park has got so many tracks to choose from, whether you need a flat area for beginners, a pee-wee/junior for your kids, or a long motocross track that won’t bore you out! 

Also, they hire out bikes and gears if you don't have one or for your kiddo who's only training.

If you need a motocross facility that would cater to people as young as 5, then the Fort Lytton Motocross Club is the one! They even provide professional coaching, which you can book for one-on-one lessons. This club is passionate about teaching new riders how to have fun with their motorcycles safely.

And if you don’t have your own bike yet, the facility coach has bikes available for hire, just don’t forget to book your bike before arriving.

Got a licensed and registered dirt bike? You're going to love the Lockyer National Park if you're looking for a quick getaway. It’s only an hour drive from Brisbane. You’ll most likely share the park with 4WDs on weekends, so we suggest you enjoy the place on weekdays instead.

If you’re thinking of a longer trip here, you can get a good place in Toowoomba, as camping isn’t allowed.

Are you looking for tracks amongst trees, with scenic views throughout? The D'Aguilar National Park offers some tight, challenging spots that you’ll enjoy, though most of the tracks are quite manageable. These tracks are enjoyed by others too: 4WDs, hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders.

If remote camping is in your itinerary, you will also love the bush settings of the Campsites in the Mount Mee section of D'Aguilar National Park. 

 

7. Parklands MX Park

If you need a track that caters to all ages and experiences, everyone knows that the Parklands MX Park is the answer to that. They have five motocross tracks: two for kids,and 3 for adults and pros like yourself. 

If you’d like to stay the night, their overnight camping is also available at the Kenilworth Showgrounds or on the Mary River at the Kenilworth Homestead. Better stay tuned on their Facebook page as they post daily updates!

RTCB is a not-for-profit organisation that provides trail rides to the public. This is a great opportunity for those without a license or registration. 

There are dedicated tracks for the kids and beginners, and there are loops with technical sections for the more experienced riders.

NO Membership, NO Licence and NO Registration are required to ride an RTCB Trail Ride Series event and there is no pre-entry!
